Find the Aquamarine Piece That Fits Your Style

Aquamarine is a member of the beryl group, just like emerald. However, unlike its fellow gemstone, it has greater transparency and clarity, with high-quality stones being completely see-through with no cloudiness. There are some specimens with a slight icy blue hue, while others tend to have a bluish green color.

Aquamarine Stones

Loose stones, selected individually and ready to be set.

Rings

Solitaires, trilogies and cocktail settings in 9ct and 18ct gold.

Necklaces

Pendants and chains in lengths that layer without tangling.

Earrings

Studs and drops that brighten without weighing the lobe.

Aquamarine has a distinct appearance compared to other blue gemstones.

Aquamarine is used extensively in jewellery as it is quite durable for regular wear. This gemstone’s hardness rate falls between 7.5 and 8 on the Mohs scale, which means it can be used for rings, earrings, necklaces, pendants, and bracelets.

Today, most aquamarine gems in jewellery are mined in Brazil, Madagascar, and Nigeria. The higher the clarity of an aquamarine stone and the stronger its color, the higher its value.

Our Ring Collection

Aquamarine Rings

Aquamarine rings have a fresh and light appearance and do not carry the weight that some other dark stones have.
While some customers choose a vintage style featuring engraving, a milgrain edge or even filigree, others opt for a simple, elegant design, one which puts the emphasis on the stone. Both designs will work well depending on the type of aquamarine used and its color.

What is Amethyst?

Amethyst is a natural gemstone from the quartz family, known for its violet colour range, from soft lilac through to rich royal purple. We love it because it has depth and elegance, so it feels special on the body without needing an overly bold design.

What Amethyst shade should I choose?

Shade is one of the most important parts of choosing Amethyst because it changes the entire feel of the piece. Lighter lilac tones look soft and airy, mid-purple feels classic and balanced, and deeper royal purple reads more dramatic and formal, especially in evening light. If you tell us whether you want the stone to feel subtle or statement, we’ll guide you to the right tone.

Is Amethyst suitable for everyday wear?

Yes, it can be, especially when the design suits your lifestyle. The key is choosing a secure setting and a comfortable profile if you plan to wear it often. If you want an everyday piece, we’ll recommend styles that sit well, feel smooth on the hand or neckline, and hold up beautifully with normal wear.

Can I customise an Amethyst piece?

Yes. Many of our designs can be adjusted, whether that means selecting a specific Amethyst tone, changing the setting style, or choosing a different metal. If you already have a particular look in mind, send an enquiry, and we’ll confirm what’s possible and what we recommend.

How do I check availability or get pricing?

The quickest way is to send an enquiry with the piece you’re interested in, or even a description of the style you want. We’ll confirm availability and pricing, and we’ll help you narrow it down to the options that match your budget, your preferred shade, and how you want the piece to feel when you wear it.

Why choose Amethyst jewellery?

So what makes Amethyst jewellery in Australia the kind of gemstone you keep reaching for, and the kind of jewellery that never feels too much when you wear it? It comes down to what you notice when it’s on you, not just what it looks like in a display.
For a look that instantly feels more put together: Amethyst adds depth and richness that makes even a simple outfit feel intentional.

Elegance that doesn’t feel forced: It turns heads quietly, with a refined colour that feels confident, not flashy.

A colour that flatters you, not just your clothes: Purple sits beautifully near the face, especially in earrings and necklaces, adding a soft glow that lifts your features.

A piece you actually reach for again: Amethyst has that wear-it-anytime energy while still feeling special enough for events and milestones.

Meaningful without being risky to gift: It is widely recognised as the February birthstone, so it feels personal and thoughtful, but still easy to wear in real life.

Good to Know

Questions We Are Asked Most Often

What is Aquamarine?

Aquamarine is actually a member of the beryl family which includes emerald and morganite. The blue-green color of aquamarine is due to small amounts of iron within its molecular structure, while the natural transparency of the stone creates exceptional sparkle and shine in the finished piece of jewelry. It’s a reliable gemstone that retains its beauty in every light.

Bezel setting will protect your aquamarine by encircling the edges of the stone from potential damage due to daily usage. A halo setting surrounds the center stone with additional diamonds or gemstones and provides added protection to the edges of the stone. Claw setting exposes more of the edges of the stone, however also provides the best visibility of its color.
Send us an enquiry with what you have in mind: the piece type, the occasion, any images or references, and a rough budget. We will arrange a consultation in our Burnside studio or work through the details with you remotely. Stone selection, setting design, and metal choice are all decisions we make together, from the first conversation to the finished piece.
